As much as i like to block out nasty memories, sometimes they just jump out from the back recesses of my mind. They are always lurking in some nooks and crannies, preparing to take me down when i come across something that related to these memories-pictures,letters,songs,places and dates etc.

Of course,its vice versa for good memories =)  I don’t try to block them away and try to remember as much details as i can about it. If my mind is like the layout of a house,the nasty memories will be packed into a box labelled “DO NOT OPEN” and stashed in some forgotten place in the attic.

Sometimes when these nasty memories spring a surprise attack on me, i would think to myself ‘Why in the world did i do that? That was so _____(childish/rude/insensitive/(any other similar adjectives)) of me!’.Sometimes,it would be ‘I wish i could turn back time and salvage the situation’. There are also times when i thought ‘Phew,thank goodness i did that’.

When i think back and look at the situation again from another perspective or after I've learnt some new information about the situation, i tend to understand it better. Things that made no sense to me at that time suddenly seemed so obvious that i feel like knocking myself on the head for not seeing the obvious or what was coming. Having a better understanding also reinforced my actions and at times, made me regret the choices i made more deeply.

Since we can’t move backwards in time, we can only look forward to the future.

Through these experiences, I've learnt what to do and what not to do should i encounter such situations again,and in the process,making me a better person (hopefully).

Maybe after all, the box should not be labelled “DO NOT OPEN”, but “REFERENCE BOOKS".

 

On a happier note, i watched Julie and Julia last Tues. with Vanessa,Ingrid and Zhi Wei! Loooong time no see ZW le! Ingrid and Van surprised us with chocolates and cute hair clips! =) I shall start hunting for things to get for them for out next meeting! =)

Went out with my dear ICA colleagues (Candy,Charlene,Eddie,Stella and Ying Hui) yst to Glass House Fish and co! Yummy! It was pouring cats and dogs and elephants that day and i was quite drenched when i reach the place though i had umbrella. When i entered the restaurant, i was quite amused by the decoration of the restaurants. Most of the waiter and waitresses had on make up and costumes that make them look scary! There was a vampire,a skeleton man and medusa etc. And to add on to the atmosphere,there were little pumpkin lantern on each table and skulls along the railings. Ours wasn’t lighted as we were directly under the air-con and the air-con would extinguish the lantern =( And of course,the real thunder and lightning from the thunderstorm outside the restaurant kinda helped too! I was looking forward to seeing Eddie’s botak head but it wasn’t as funny as i thought it would be because his hair already grow le. *sigh*

After we ate,we waited for  Gervas and his gf while freezing under the super cold air-con. Talked awhile with them and they went off while the rest of us minus Stella (she left early to go clubbing) went to ACM. There was this persistent guy acting as a ninja who keep scaring Charlene and it was damn funny la! Lol! Looking forward to the next meeting!

I’m back! Haha!

Had a quite disheartening day today. Econs quiz was like crap. >.< Even though Sally,Gretchen and I studied on Sat,but i still don’t really understand. I really prefer the JC type of econs la. HELP ME!!

Saw Feng Kai on tues! Saw him on the bus and he told me about this charity run that he is organising. It will be held on 31st Jan next year at ECP. Ill have more details on it when its nearer to the date! Do come and support! =)

Long time no blog! Haha!

Last tues went to Tao's restaurant at PoMo with Van and Ingrid for lunch! This restaurant serves a 6 course set lunch and a 7 course dinner. Apart from the standardised appetiser (which is bacon and mushroom gratin),it gives you the choice to chosse ur own salad,soup,main course,dessert and drink. I had smoked salmon salad,mushroom soup, Tao's grilled chicken chop, brownie with ice cream and apple rose drink. All of them were fantastic! I especially love the mushroom soup. I was expecting it to be something like Campbell soup, it in actual fact, the creamy soup was filled with finely chopped mushroom! Very very yummy! =)

Last sun went out with Cheryl,Mx and Wanting to eat at UE square’s Bakerzin coz weilin having her SIP there! Haha! Her workplace like quite fun,got alot of cute children every weekend coz they have a baking workshop for kids. Weilin was the barista that day and we decide to let her off by not ordering any coffee.. Haha! Went to Bugis with Cheryl and Wanting after that to buy stuff. Went home quite early coz wanting had to meet her CO frens.

Met up with Weilin yst at Bugis after lesson (yes,Bugis again >.<) She was quite late. AS USUAL. Haha! Had lunch and shopped around for my fren’s prezzie!

 

To You: Sometimes life isn’t so smooth sailing. You may encounter many setbacks and obstacles. But fear not! As long as you have confidence in yourself, nothing is impossible! So stay strong!

I seriously need to get a new comp/find someone to fix my comp. Its running out of space on my C drive and no matter how many docs we delete or move to other drive, the low disk space msg always shows up! The mozilla firefox browser always has this pop-up even though we turn on the pop-up blocker. My windows live messenger always show this error msg and wen i close the msg,it logs me out. My comp does not have good anti-virus software in my opinion. The speaker hasn’t been working since dunno wen… ZZZ!

Life has been kinda boring recently. Finally feeling stress from schoolwork. I have a feeling I won’t do well in econs. ZZZ.

Went swimming and lunch with FWL on tues. Finally met up with that busy woman after like 2 mths. I tink I’m a little tanner now,but i tink it will fade off soon. After swimming on tues i still got yoga in the evening! Wah,we did some super tiring pose called binding pose and up till now my legs still aching. Haha! But it’s fun!

Finally changed my blogskin! Im in love with this blogskin! So colourful and cheerful. Ok,update on happenings in my life.

14 Aug-Went for gathering with Caiping, Erica, Gretchen, Sally and Wanling at Cathay’s Aston after lesson (which ended at 6.30)

15 Aug- K-session with Candy, Charlene and Stella! Was kinda tired that day,so I sang until very horrible. After that went to Bugis for JC class gathering. Ate steamboat at Tian Tian Huo Guo. I don’t think I’ll ever go back there coz the stove there very problematic!

17 Aug- Met up with Cheryl and Wanting. They accompanied me to bind my book and we ate Aston (again,but different place. This time at Katong =P) After that Cheryl showed us this mini birdpark near my house that has Flamingoes, Parrots and many other kind of birds! Went for dessert after that. Super full that day!

18 Aug- Had my first yoga lesson. My body was aching the next day la. Heng no sch the next day.

My right ear piercing became swollen on mon. It was so bad that wen i eat, I can feel the pain. =( So i took out the original stud and applied olive oil on my ear piercing before putting in a new stud. My aunt intro olive oil to me coz it worked for her piercing and it worked for me too! Heng ah.

 

The memories still linger on…

 

Yst i finally went to pierce my ears! I’ve been wanting to do it since sec 4,but couldn’t pluck up the courage. >.< Since piercing my ear is one of my new year resolution, I had to overcome my phobia. Heng got Wanting and Weilin to accompany me! Thank you people! Love you! *muacks* haha! I did some research on the internet and decide to go to those jewellery shop to pierce though it may mean having to pay more. BUT when we go and ask around, almost all the jewellery shops in the Tampines area either don’t provide the service or the people responsible for piercing ears never come. ZZZZZZ. In the end we went to this place called yellow to pierce. The ear stud quite ugly la. Maybe I should have waited for the jewellery shop people! But most importantly, I hope won’t kena infection. >.< That’s the main reason why I didn’t want to pierce at places like 77 street. Haiz..we shall see in a few days time whether there is infection.
